CHURCH EXTENSION COMMITTEE

Elisabeth Schumaker is a long-time member of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church.  While raised in Arkansas until the age of twelve, she spent her high school and college years in western Michigan attending Harvest Church in Wyoming, MI, following her family's relocation to the Holland/Zeeland area.  It was at Harvest that she met her future husband, Jacob.  Elisabeth attended Grove City College in Grove City, PA, where she studied English Literature.  After graduation in December of 2016, Elisabeth and Jacob married and moved to the Detroit area.  During their time there, Elisabeth worked as an Administrative Assistant on the Operations team of a large wholesale mortgage lender.  Eventually, she and her husband relocated back to the west side of the state to be closer to family.  Soon after, she heard of the opportunity to serve and serve alongside with the Church Extension (CHEX) Committee.  Elisabeth has greatly enjoyed the chance to assist church planters throughout the Presbytery and to provide administrative support to the committee as well. She is excited and eager to see how the Lord continues to bless His people and His Church!
